This course will provide healthcare providers with Information about helping children cope with procedures in a medical setting so that situation will be remembered as a positive experience.

After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Recognize a childâ€™s developmental level that affects his/her response to coping with medical experiences.
- Identify other important factors that impact a childâ€™s coping mechanism.
- Describe different techniques to help a child cope with his/her medical experience and increase compliance with chronic treatments.
