Course Description
This course will define NPPV in colloquial terms as well as proprietary labels. The presenter will discuss indications for NPPV by examining the evidence for common uses as well as exploring concepts of emerging applications. Contraindications for NPPV therapy and concepts of why these contraindications exist will be explored. Finally, the presenter will identify clinical successes with NPPV therapy, as well as methods to improve success and enhance the patient/ventilator experience.
