Course Description: This course reviews basic arithmetic functions with fractions and decimals and then teaches how to calculate basic medical math including converting within the metric system, medication dosages, converting pounds to kilograms for pediatric dosages and converting Fahrenheit to Celsius temperature. IV drug calculations are also included.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
Perform basic math calculations for fractions and decimals. Perform metric conversions.Perform basic drug calculations with 100% accurately. Nurses must perform IV drug calculations with 100% accurately.

Credit Requirements: To receive CE credit for completing this online course you must complete 100% of the material, receive at least 80% passing grade on post-tests, 100% on the Drug Dosage Calculation test, nurses must also score 100%on the IV Drug Dosage Calculations test, and everyone must complete the evaluation.Once you pass the post-tests and complete the evaluation you will be able to print a certificate for verification of credit.The process for enrolling in AHECU courses has changed.
