This course will provide participants with an overview of screening tools and how to make referrals from a strengths-based empowerment approach.

  • utilize screening tools to determine the presence of domestic/intimate partner violence in a patient's life.
  • evaluate screening tools and make referrals to appropriate resources from a strengths-based empowerment approach.

Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an accredited provider of Nursing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 0.75 contact hours

Respiratory Care Practitioners: 0.75 clock hours will be awarded by Upstate AHEC, an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners.

Dietitians: 0.75 hours of CPE for registered dietitians.
