This course will provide healthcare professionals with basic understanding about the HIPAA rules and regulations.

Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is an accredited provider of Nursing Professional Development by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, attendees will receive 0.5 contact hours.

Respiratory Care Practitioners: 0.5 clock hours will be awarded by Upstate AHEC, an approved provider of continuing education for respiratory care practitioners by the SC Board of Medical Examiners.

Social Workers: This program has been approved by Upstate AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners for0.50 clock hours of non-social work continuing education.
