Course Description
This course will discuss fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndrome and various treatment modalities.
Instructor
Hima Dalal, OTR/L, Reiki Master, Fibromyalgia Specialist, Energy Medicine Practitioner is President of Vital Energy Therapy. She is a board certified Occupational Therapist with 35 years experience in outpatient and hospital therapy.

Learning Outcomes
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Define fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndrome.
- Explain the diagnosis and symptoms.
- List the aggravating factors.
- Discuss therapy interventions that help reduce pain, fatigue, hypersensitivity, and stress intolerance.
- Identify how patients can take charge of their health.
- Discuss how to progress the patient and transition the patient to increase strength, ROM and muscle strength/flexibility without increasing pain and ultimately making them pain free.
